Patterns of disinvestment have cost the U.S. more than $16 trillion in GDP over two decades. The people most affected —BIPOC communities, women, LGBTQ+ individuals, rural communities —aren't lacking ambition or ideas, they're lacking the access, capital, and infrastructure to build lasting wealth. BLK GRVTY was founded on the belief that reshaping the foundations of economic equity is the path to closing this gap.
BLK GRVTY is an economic design firm leveraging capital and technology to increase ownership and improve health outcomes, built on the belief that wealth and wellbeing move together, or neither moves at all.
I came in as a brand strategy partner in 2023. What started as a brand story update became a full creative consultancy. The core of the work was their communications architecture, building the strategic framework that defines how BLK GRVTY explains itself and its technology. That meant the narrative foundation, the theory of change, and the verbal brand system that now runs across every external touchpoint. This then expanded to include two website rebuilds, visual brand update, social media strategy, pitch materials, decks, one-sheets, and video production.
Most recently, I created the materials to prepare for the launch of Wealth Through Women's Wellbeing at the Milken Global Conference and Home and Land Preservation at Martha's Vineyard. At Milken, BLK GRVTY was named an inaugural member of the Milken Institute Health Women's Network chaired by Dr. Jill Biden, and the Home and Land Preservation Initiative launched at Martha's Vineyard. Their other initiatives continue to gain momentum, Franchise Nova just received the Ewing Marion Kauffman Foundation grant to expand to Kansas City.
